Fish Market

Fish Man

How interesting can a fish market be? Well the one that stretches along the quay side at the old port in Marsielle is certainly interesting. Full of fish of course lots of fun and some great photo opportunities.

I wish I had had more time to get some nice portraits of these people - perhaps another visit is needed.

Just wanted to say I was in Marseille in 1995 and I recognize the background in your photo. It brought back a lot of fond memories. Thanks!

Ming just mentioned what I am going to say here...boullabaise! I absolutely love it, I love it so much that I made it in HK once...having very limited original ingredients and going through all very complicated process (I must have got the most traditional version of recipe) for a person who doesn't particularly like cooking, you can tell how much I love it! Those fishes in the photo would make a big lovely pot of boullabaise

Hi Ming & Lisi, No I did not have a chance to try a delicious boullabaise this time. In fact the last time I had boullabaise was in 1989 (I think) further along the coast in the picturesque village of Cassis.

Maybe I should try it again.
