Iced Colours

I loved the colours of these iced drinks or whatever they were that I photographed in Cacassonne.

I was going to have one until I read the middle one which says Raspberry. I have never seen blue raspberries before.

The colours do look nice though.

Here in N. America, there are black raspberries, but I've never heard of blue ones. The color is beautiful, but I'm with you -- I wouldn't want to drink it!

These drinks are called slurpees in the USA too. Unattractive name. I prefer what the Italians call them: granita.

Also here in america there is blue raspberry flavoring in everything from lollipops to slurpees to soda pop. The reason that it's blue is to distinguish it from strawberry and cherry, the two other incredibly popular red flavors.

Well, I can't say it's THE reason, as I'm not the one who started doing it, but it certainly makes sense.

Don't forget it’s the Saint Maxime DP funny caption competition tomorrow.

I prefer the red ones too. It is so unsightly to have blue lips and tongue!
