Autumn Colors

Autumn Colors

On those spectacular days when the sun shines on autumn days and shows the vines as they turn all manner of reds, browns and rustic colors, the wine season for this year is over. Soon the work will begin for next years crop.

This photograph was taken overlooking the village of Durban in Les Corbières in the south of France. The changing vines can be seen in the foreground. It is not far from where we live in Réal, a couple of hours drive, but the countryside is very different and it is part of the magic that is France.

Wilf, you know what this scenic view reminds me of? When I was small I used to do a lot of jigsaw puzzle and this is just like one of those scenic photos they made puzzles with...

It would certainly make for a very difficult puzzle I think especially if you have had a couple of glasses of wine!

Lisi emailed me to let me know that there was some difficulty with the comment verification of Real DP.

So I have made it open comments now but if I get a lot of spam I will change it back.

Maybe that's why I get so few comments!!

Wilf, I've just discovered your site and having returned home from south of France and Italy to Australia less than two weeks ago, your beautiful photographs are making me long to get back as soon as humanly possible. I was in Antibes, Eze Village, Villefranche-Sur-Mer, St-Jean-Cap-Ferat in France, and Lake Como and Venice in Italy. I too took some truly beautiful photos and am now a mad keen amateur wanting to know more.

Thanks for reminding me!
